About this event
- Event lasts 3 hours
Kris Sharma is a stand-up comedian from Tampa, FL who cut his teeth in Chicago's legendary improv scene in the early 2000s. He performed at festivals including the Del Close Marathon, LA Improv Festival, and Gainesville Improv Festival before transitioning to stand-up.
Kris has performed at legendary venues like The Comedy Store and The Ice House, and at festivals including Comedyfort and the Ventura Harbor Comedy Festival. He's also played countless bars, clubs, and restaurants where audiences got comedy whether they asked for it or not. He co-created Freestyle Theater, a two-person improv/hip-hop show that ran nearly two years at the Hollywood Improv.
His comedy blends sharp observations with self-deprecating warmth, mining humor from family life, current events, and his contradictions as a suburban dad with a colorful past.
Beyond stand-up, Kris has sold two feature film scripts, co-created a web series, and appeared in several short films you've probably never seen but would definitely enjoy. He's opened for comics like Hannibal Buress and Jamie Lissow, plus many of your favorites who are almost famous but haven't hit Netflix yet.
