Fast track your Makaton learning, comnining levels 1 & 2 Makaton, giving learners a foundation understanding of the Makaton Languge programme.
Suitable for families, carers, professionals, students and volunteers who need to use Makaton at home and in their work enviroment.
Suppprting learners who require who require a more detailed knowledge about using and applying Makaton to develop the communication skills of others
Sessions include discussing commonly asked questions, hints and tips for effective signing and symbol use and how to start using Makaton in everyday situations at home or work.
You will also learn the signs and symbols from Stages 1,2,3 & 4 and some of the Additional stage, of the Core Vocabulary.
Duration
Level 1& 2 combined training is made up of four modules delivered in 2 full day sessions, 4th & 5th August 2025, 9.30-4pm. Learners must be able to attend both dates.
Entry criteria
Participants must have an interest in early communication skills.
Study materials
You will receive 2 Participant's Manuals, which include the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshops.
You will also be given 2 certificates of attendance. Please remember to keep your Level 1 & 2 training certificates in case you want to attend further Makaton training.
In the event a participant cannot attend, a course tranfer will be offered onto the next available course.
A maximum of one transfer can be made.

The training is online via zoom. Learners must access this on a tablet, computor or desk top and have full video function.
