ABOUT COLORIST MEETUP
Colorist Meetup is a networking event for colorists, dits, workflow supervisors and all film professionals interested in the art and science of image manipulation and technology behind it
The concept of the evening is to have colorists, DITs, scientists, technicians, innovators, and manufacturers share their experience, ideas, recent discoveries, or achievements.
Meetups have been going since November 2018 and are held every last Thursday of the month in LA and every second month NY. We usually host 80+ guests per event, and we have 6.000 members subscribed to our mailing list. The event lasts three h in total.
The concept of the event is that we invite two professionals, a colorist and a tech specialist who do a one-hour presentation each with Q&A at the end. Presentations may include a job case study, a workflow overview, a live demo, or it can be done in the form of an interview.
Our guest speakers were leading people in the industry, including Matt Tomlinson, Walter Volpatto, Greg Hamlin, Mark Todd Osborne, Laura Jans Fazio, Lynette Duensing, Josh Pines, Chris Clark, Annie Chang, and many others.
Colorist meetup is created to help colorists to grow, connect, learn, share, and ultimately to get acknowledged for their creative contribution to film and tv industry.
