The Colorado Virtual Distance Challenge is back again for the month of July!

This month we encourage you to Run Far and Roam Wild.

We know times are challenging, but I think we can all agree that running/walking/hiking are some of the few things keeping us all sane right now. Enter our month-long July Colorado Virtual Distance Challenge - to help keep you active, hold you accountable, provide some fun motivation, and allow you to earn some awesome swag/gear along the way! July will be our fourth consecutive challenge month, and in the first three months, our 2,400+ participants have collectively logged over 200,000 miles, and had a blast!!

Join us this July for the Colorado Virtual Distance Challenge brought to you by the Colorado Brewery Running Series (BRS), and get your miles on! Register anytime leading up to, or during the month of July.

Reach various mileage milestones (25, 50, 100) and unlock awesome custom rewards designed by the BRS. Set yourself a specific mileage goal that you want to run/walk/hike during the month, and then work your tail off to hit that number!

Throughout the month, you will also receive discounts from our local Colorado brewery partners and vendors!

This challenge will last from July 1-31, 2020.

You will also be helping us donate to a great cause - 10% of all proceeds will go directly to the Colorado Strong Fund. A Colorado benefit helping Healthcare, Hospitality, Service Industry, and Gig Economy workers impacted by COVID-19.

Download the July Colorado Virtual Distance Challenge app where you can self-report your daily mileage (on the honor system), track toward your monthly mileage goal, see the total miles run by the entire Challenge group, track mileage run by your friends or family, and see who is leading the pack with the most miles run/walked. App download details and instructions will be sent out at the end of June.

All registered participants can log their runs with us from July 1 until July 31, 2020.
Earn rewards throughout the month as your hit mileage milestones.
Registration is open all month, but the earlier you register, the sooner you will reach your mileage rewards!

PICKUP/SHIPPING:

All Rewards/Swag items (including the registration items, the VIP Shirt/Tank-Top, and any mileage rewards earned) will be available for pickup in the Denver Metro area the first full weekend of August (6th-9th). Dates/times/locations of the pickups will be announced in late July via email and social media posts.
If you live out-of-state, outside the Denver Metro area, or are unable to attend one of the pickup sessions, your rewards/swag will be shipped to you starting during the second week of August.

GIVING BACK:

We are all about being active, having fun, and giving back to our local community. Since our inaugural Colorado 5k event in 2016, we have been able to donate almost $40,000 back to local Colorado nonprofits. This event will add to that tally! 10% of all proceeds from this event will go directly to the Colorado Strong Fund. A Colorado benefit helping Healthcare, Hospitality, Service Industry, and Gig Economy workers impacted by COVID-19.

Where can I run/walk/hike? Run far and roam wildly. Run, walk, or hike whenever and wherever you would like. Keep safety in mind, but go explore the great outdoors!

What time does the run start? Feel free to run any time of day, every day that you are able, from July 1 until July 31, 2020.

Can I run with others? Yes, BUT Be sure to practice social distancing procedures while out on your runs. Give other runners, walkers, and bicyclists AT LEAST 6' of distance when passing.

Do I HAVE to use Strava? Yes and no. We will mostly be using Strava to verify the runs that you are self-reporting. If you currently do NOT use it, please signup for a FREE account here. Then you can link whatever app you do use and never log in again. Almost any app or watch can link straight to Strava. Click Here to see how to link your device. If you are unable to use Strava, we will accept photos or screenshots from any other fitness tracking device, watch, or app throughout the month to make sure you are honestly reporting your miles.

How do I submit my miles? All miles will be self-reported in the July Colorado Virtual Distance Challenge App. At the end of June, and throughout July (for those who register later) we will be sending out information on how to download and use the app. It's super quick and easy to use the app... we promise!!
