Join us for a wide-ranging discussion of new considerations for students and families as they navigate today’s college-admission landscape—and, more importantly, as they begin the college experience itself.
Both worlds have undergone considerable change in recent years, yet some of the foundational principles remain the same.
College admission experts Bruce Poch and Alice Kleeman will explore the ways students can assess their alignment with a college’s values, and, just as importantly, how those values will shape their experience once they move beyond the admission process (too often the main focus) and into life within the college community.
Bruce Poch, principal of Bruce Poch Consulting, brings more than 40 years of leadership in college admissions, counseling, and education policy. He previously served as vice president and dean of admissions at Pomona College in Claremont, California.
Alice Kleeman served as Menlo-Atherton High School’s college advisor for 20 years before retiring. She continues to support students at M-A, the Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula, and the Redwood City Library.
Parents/caregivers, students, educators, and community members welcome! Free admission. Simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be available.
