Collage and Memory Workshop with Archival Brooklyn Photos

By BedStuy Art Club

Overview

Join us for a hands-on collage workshop celebrating Brooklyn’s rich history on Saturday, November 15th from 12:00 - 3:00PM

Join us for a hands-on collage workshop celebrating Brooklyn’s rich history and vibrant present. Participants will create collages using vintage photos, maps, and other archival images while sharing memories and reflections about community and change.

We’re especially excited to collaborate with local author and archivist Cynthia Brenwall who's helped us draw from their incredible local archival collections - to honor Brooklyn’s deep roots. Expect to see some amazing images, including 1950s photos of Marcy residents and even old payphones!

All materials will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own creative supplies. Warm beverages, light refreshments, and good company will be on hand as we make art, share stories, and connect with artists, elders, families, and friends.
