About L.E.A.D.
L.E.A.D. is a 12-month, multi-faceted media arts program designed to empower and support vulnerable, at-risk youth and families across San Diego County, with a priority focus on those living in low Health Place Index (HPI) neighborhoods. Through media arts, storytelling, mentorship, and advocacy, the program addresses youth safety concerns such as substance abuse, homelessness, cyber exploitation and trafficking, gang influence, and mental health challenges.
By engaging youth in hands-on media arts workshops, peer mentorship, and public awareness campaigns, L.E.A.D. fosters resilience, leadership, and advocacy while creating meaningful community-driven media projects. Collaborating with schools, law enforcement, and community partners, L.E.A.D. provides holistic support that equips young people with the tools to make safer, informed choices while uplifting their voices through storytelling.
Whether you’re a long-time partner or new to ACMA, this mixer is about building together.
