About this event

Health • Mental health

Are you curious about cold water showers/dipping/swimming?  Maybe you're a seasoned pro wanting to learn more about a cold water practice for mental well-being? Whether you're looking for a tool for stress management, anxiety, depression or PTSD - this is the seminar for you, led by seasoned Coach Hélène Caron who has experienced the healing miracles of cold water exposure with over 1500 open water swims in the last 5 years. Science-based facts will be presented, followed by Hélène’s story, and finish with a 3min-25min outing in the ocean depending on participants’ experience.  Come prepared to dip, plunge, swim, float - and do your signature cold water moves. Bring hot tea for warming up afterwards, when we’ll have time for Q&A and some prize draws of a total value of over $350.

We've had many unfortunate situations in our communities due to mental health issues. This in-person 1hr seminar is being offered as a way to help with healing and reconciliation for all victims of the Lapu Lapu festival in April 2025, whether immediate family, friends, first responders or others. Although this in-person seminar is offered for free, we would appreciate a donation to the Samper Caicedo Legacy - no matter how small or big.
