Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Public Tours

Learn about the historic and modern architecture, the Nobel legacy, and the advanced cancer, neuroscience, and plant research taking place right here each day. Our knowledgeable tour guides include Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Please be in the lobby by 10 am sharp, tours begin on time! There is no photography allowed inside of the wet lab spaces. Photos of our campus and grounds is perfectly fine.

If you're interested in touring The Laboratory with your own group, please call (516) 367-8844 to book a private tour and discuss available times/dates.

*ADVISORY: The tour route is primarily outdoors and takes place so long as the weather is walkable.

*If there is extreme weather (heavy rain, thunder, lightning, high winds etc.) we will contact attendees in the morning via Email to reschedule the tour. Please check your emails the evening before, and the morning of your tour to ensure it is still on. We will also post cancelation notices or updates to our social media accounts*

The tour includes areas of stairs and steep hills. It is not recommended for people who have difficulty walking. If you are not able to do a full walking tour, please contact us before booking at (516) 367-8844 to discuss potential accommodations.

We understand that life happens, and there are times when attendees need to reschedule their tour. Please alert us within 48 hours of your tour time if you need to move your ticket to another available tour date. We allow for one tour transfer per ticket.
