COGI's Multi-City 5K Walk: Columbus, OH
Overview
Since 1970, the rate in which Black and Brown patients have been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) has increased by 135%. That’s 3x higher than White patients (39%) making it critical to spread awareness about signs and symptoms.
If diagnosed early, it potentially lowers the risk of managing IBD in a more severe state!
As patients, walking can provide health benefits like reduced inflammation and improved physical and mental health. Especially for patients in lower to moderate states of IBD.
So we walk! Join us on Nov. 30th at 12:30pm ET.
The Columbus, OH walk will be led by Tonya Kelly.
With the constant shifts of society right now, we need community more than ever. Whether managing a digestive disorder or not, access to food and health resources are critical to improving one's quality of life! If you're local to Columbus and in need of food assistance, we're spotlighting Mid-Ohio Market at HEART.
- If you'd like to donate food items, you can bring them to the 5k walk and our city lead will drop off donations to Mid-Ohio Market at HEART on behalf of the COGI 5k Walk.
Note: Attendees will be notified if the location changes due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
