Go faster! Just make it work! Is there an easier way?

We've all heard it. But what is the cost? When cutting (sometimes necessary) corners in software development, each corner by itself might not do much damage. Over time, however, this can result in a system with landmines where you're the only one who knows how to avoid them.

While this might sound like it creates job security, it also means you're stuck! You suddenly become “too important” to move to a new project or into a new role. In this talk, we'll discuss ways to avoid getting stuck and held back from opportunities when under time pressure and what it means to code for future developers.
