About this event

CoderDojo is a global movement of free, open, volunteer-led coding clubs (Dojos) where young people aged 7-10 years old can explore digital technology and learn to learn to code in a social and safe environment.

W eekly classes at The Dock will be delivered by volunteers from Accenture. These sessions will be geared towards children with prior experience using Scratch. Scratch is a powerful, visual programming language that provides a great introduction to the world of programming. By snapping blocks together, you can create amazing animations and games.

Please note: Please only select one ticket per child. Parents accompanying their child/children do not require an event ticket.

What will I need to bring?

Attendees of the session need to bring their own devices for working through the session.

Will I be required to stay with my child?

Parents or guardians are encouraged to stay for the Dojo session rather than only dropping their children off and picking them up. This is particularly true for parents or guardians of younger children.

Who will be delivering the sessions?

Volunteers from Accenture will deliver the sessions. Each volunteer has undergone Garda Vetting and completed CoderDojo training to deliver course material.
