Code2K is a weekend of CS discovery; a self-directed hackathon for students all around the world.

Code2K is a beginner-focused hackathon for middle and high school students. Our theme for this hackathon is &quot;Discover, Learn, Create.&quot; Throughout the hackathon, we&#x27;ll have numerous workshops where you&#x27;ll be able to explore different things, such as creating websites, developing Discord bots, or even programming AI to play simple games. We&#x27;ll guide you through the process of learning these things, and by the end of the hackathon, you&#x27;ll have (hopefully) created your very own project you can be proud of.Discover: Introduce yourself to all sorts of new concepts and technologies through our hour-long workshops! Our instructors will guide you through a variety of concepts ranging from making websites and games, to designing 3D models, with no prior experience required. Learn: Once you’ve found a topic that really interests you, deep dive into the field! After going to the short workshop where you’re given an introduction, you can dive deeper by following our guides and learning from our mentors! Whether it’s making Discord bots, or creating AI for games like tic-tac-toe, there’s lots of things to learn.Create: Now that you’ve learned the skills, create a project of your own! We will have qualified high school and college students available throughout each day to help guide you through your project and deepen your knowledge of the specific topic. By the end of the hackathon, you will have created your own (hopefully working) project!In addition to workshops, we&#x27;ll have experienced high school &amp; college mentors available throughout the hackathon who can help you out, and guest speaker events from people in the industry.Whether you already know how to code or not, we&#x27;ll, have something for you. In fact, if you don&#x27;t know how to code yet, this is a perfect opportunity to dive into this exciting world. If you&#x27;re a little more advanced already, don&#x27;t worry!
