Cocusocial Online Class: Christmas Cookie Decorating

As Christmas (and Winter) approaches, there's more than one way to get creative in celebrating this holiday season. Why not make and decorate some festive Christmas cookies to share with family, friends, or neighbors? Think candy canes, snow flakes, Santa Claus, Christmas trees, and snowmen!

Join Chef Jen in her Chicago kitchen, where she will teach you, and the kids, how to decorate lemon sugar cookies from scratch by making the royal icing to create festive Christmas cookie characters. It is recommended to have a hand or stand mixer, piping bags, and piping tips (#2, #4, and #5) to get the most out of this class.

Please note that the lemon sugar cookies should be made prior to class. Make the dough and cut out your favorite shapes so they have time to bake and cool before joining Chef Jen for class. It's like an edible art class! Perfect for an at home Christmas party.

Invite your friends and family to join you for class so you can connect virtually and make something delicious, creative, and festive together. What a great way to get into the holiday spirit!

No experience is required! You will have the opportunity to interact with Chef Jen throughout the class and ask questions along the way.

You will receive an email with the recipe, equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to bake along with the chef in real time include: all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, eggs, butter, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, lemon, vanilla extract, meringue powder, food coloring (red, green, yellow, purple, and orange), and cookie cutters.

Measure out and prepare the ingredients ahead of the session, tie up your apron, and get ready to bake!
