About this event
During this class, attendees will explore the exciting possibilities of woodworking with the use of a computerized CNC machine. The class is structured around the Rockler/Next Wave Shark CNC machine and VCarve Software. This lecture will help you decide which CNC is right for you. We will take you through setup and programming for some woodworking projects and demonstrate how the tool can benefit you in your shop. This is a great course for those interested in purchasing their first CNC machine. If you are on the fence about investing in a CNC machine. If you have questions on setting it up and using the software, this class is a must. We show you how to create a simple project using V-Carve software, tool path planning and setting up the machine. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions Apply. Contact store for more details.
Frequently asked questions
This class requires the use of power tools, which requires the attendee to be 14 years or older. Attendees below 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entire class. If a parent or legal guardian is required to attend, only 1 ticket is required.
Safety glasses or face shields, hearing protection, gloves, and dust respirators will be provided free of charge as needed. No loose clothing should be worn, long sleeves should be rolled up, long hair should be tied back. No open-toed shoes can be worn during classes.
