Considering adding a CNC machine to your woodworking shop but not sure where to start? This lecture-style class is designed to help you determine if a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) router is the right investment for your woodworking journey. We'll cover the essentials of CNC technology, walking you through the basic setup and programming for common woodworking projects. You'll gain an understanding of how a CNC machine operates and witness demonstrations showcasing the tool's practical benefits in a woodworking environment, from precise cuts to intricate designs. This course is ideal for woodworkers interested in purchasing their first CNC machine and looking to demystify the process. What to Bring: Students are highly encouraged to bring their laptop with V-Carve software already installed to follow along with the instructor during programming demonstrations. If you don't yet own V-Carve but are exploring CNC routing, please download the free trial version from the Vectric website prior to class. All participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Consider 1 on 1 private instruction. Learn exactly what you need at your own pace: that's what 1-on-1 private instruction is all about. We also offer group classes for up to 12 students for corporate / office team building events or just fun with friends. Contact store for more details at (913) 815-2002.
