About this event

In this class, you’ll learn how to safely and effectively operate our AVID CNC router in order to fabricate your projects. This class will focus on the use and care of the router itself and will briefly include the instructions for the use of design software, VCarve Pro, that would be used for the project. We will also cover the CNC router control software, Mach4, material considerations and router operation.

By the end of the class, you’ll design and cut out your own custom sign!

Frequently asked questions

Do I need prior experience with a cnc machine?

No, but it does help to have experience with computer software using math principles and power tools

Can I use the cnc machine on my own after the class.

The class is preparation for your orientation on the cnc machine. After taking the class the student would return for a checkout on the machine. If the instructor sees the student has leaned the use and safe operation of the machine she/he will get a signoff. There is no cost for the checkout.
