Whether you're preparing for auditions, looking to polish your technique, or simply wanting to explore your voice, this masterclass offers something for everyone.

For Singers

As a Singer or Participant in a vocal masterclass, you’ll receive personalized, on-the-spot coaching to help refine your technique, interpretation, and performance skills. This is an opportunity to explore new approaches, address challenges in real time, and gain insight from an expert’s guidance. You’ll also develop confidence, expand your repertoire, and connect with fellow musicians in a supportive, inspiring environment.

You will be asked to prepare a song or piece under 3 minutes in length.

• For Musical Theatre, a 32–bar cut is perfect.
• For Classical/Operatic repertoire, please prepare and art song or the aria proper.
• For Commercial/Contemporary music, please prepare a verse and chorus.

Please note that accompaniment is not provided. You are welcome to provide your own backing track or sing acapella. We just want to hear your voice!

For Observers

As an observer, you’ll have the opportunity to watch performers present their pieces and see them receive on-the-spot coaching. This not only offers valuable learning experiences but also provides a chance to connect with fellow musicians.

As an observer in a vocal masterclass, you’ll gain a unique learning experience by watching singers receive real-time coaching. You can develop your ear for phrasing, tone, and expression, discover new repertoire, and see how performers overcome challenges. Observing also provides insight into teaching styles, performance techniques, and stage presence, while offering opportunities to connect with fellow musicians and be inspired by their growth.

Dedicated Q&A

The last 15–20 minutes of the masterclass will be dedicated to a Q&A session, where Cydney will answer pre-selected questions related to the following topics:

• Vocal technique and healthy singing habits
• College audition preparation
• Repertoire selection and song recommendations
• Building confidence onstage and in the practice room
