Frequently asked questions

What does CMMC stand for?

Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification

What is CMMC?

CMMC is a framework created by the Department of Defense for federal contractors to meet cybersecurity requirements regarding processes and data protection. Implementation decreases cyber threats and breaches while increasing eligibility for future contracts.

Why comply with CMMC?

Failure to comply and get certified shows that your organization does not practice necessary cybersecurity protocols that the DoD requires. This risks current and future federal projects.

What level do I need to reach?

Prime and sub-contractors looking to maintain federal contracts must reach at least Level 2 to meet requirements. Completing the self-assessment in Level 1 allows MITS Pacific to guide your organization to get certified for Level 2.
