Clowning Level Two: Developing and Expanding Your Clown Act

Now that you've met your clown, it's time to expand your clowning tool belt and continue developing your clown's voice as you develop and expand your original act! In this seven week class, students will build off the knowledge and skills from Level One as they explore and build their repertoire . Students will learn how to intentionally develop a 5-7 minute act and even interact with other clowns! This class will include a showcase. The prerequisite for this class is Clown Level One at Stomping Ground Comedy Theater.

This course will focus on:

• Developing a sustainable clown persona
• Playing and sharing focus with other clowns on stage
• Setting up jokes, gags, and callbacks
• Using props effectively in your act

This is an in-person, seven week class on Mondays from 7-9:30pm starting on January 5th. The instructor is Stephanie Bell. All sales are final. Listed price of class does not include Eventbrite's service fee (3.7% + $1.79) and payment processing fee (2.9%) which will be added to the total price at checkout. Classes are non-refundable but enrollment may be deferred to a future class with TCD approval. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
