About this event
It's time to update your wardrobe zero-waste style!
Hundreds of stylish, badass, sustainable lifestyle-obsessed people have attended our past Swap & Shops and it's always a great time with great finds!
Plus there's more than just a clothing swap happening 👀
We will have a community trunk sale going on at the same time, with folks from the community selling small household items. Think of it like a garage sale, but in our parking lot! If you're interested in being a trunk sale vendor, please fill out this form.
Our clothing swap and shops have multiple options.
Clothing Swap - Free
Clothes in the swap section are free or donation-based to support organizations helping keep clothes out of the landfill:)
If you are bringing items for the swap here are the rules:
- 20 item limit per person (to bring, no limit on what you can take)
- Adult fall/winter clothes and accessories only! Shirts, sweaters, pants, dresses, shoes, outerwear, and accessories are ok. No kids clothing at this swap please!
- All clothes must be clean and in good condition.
- Please arrive with your items to contribute between 9am and 10:30am. We will lightly vet all swap items before putting them out.
Remaining clothing from this section will be responsibly rehomed after the event.
We highly recommend using this swap for the majority of your items, and consignment only for higher-quality or practically new pieces.
Consignment
This option is great if you have higher quality fall/winter items. The items that do best are priced to sell. Please do not expect to use consignment shop-level pricing for your items.
* ALL ITEMS IN THIS SECTION THAT ARE NOT PICKED UP BY 1:15pm WILL BE DONATED. IF YOU WANT CLOTHES BACK THAT DID NOT SELL PLEASE ARRIVE BY 12:45-1pm TO CLAIM THEM *
How to consign:
- You are required to register ahead on this Eventbrite, and select "I would like to consign my clothes". DEADLINE TO REGISTER: Oct. 1
- We will email you a few days in advance with details.
- 10 item consignment limit per person.
- Tag your clothes in advance with your code (this will be sent out the week before) and the price. Please ensure all tags are securely fastened.
- All transactions will be run through Nude Foods Market Venmo. In the spirit of solidarity and reparations, 10% of all proceeds will go to The Or Foundation's Secondhand Solidarity Fund, 30% will go to Nude Foods to help cover costs of hosting the event, and the other 60% will be sent to your personal Venmo after the event. Please allow 2-3 business days for us to send out your payment.
- Consignors can pick up any clothes that do not sell at the end of the event! Everything left after 1:15pm will be donated.
- We will provide clothing racks and space for folks to sell!
- We are NOT responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Clothing guidelines:
- Adult fall/winter clothes and accessories ONLY.
- 10 item consignment limit per person.
- Items must be clean and in great condition.
- NO: Underwear, socks, bathing suits.
FAQs:
Do I need to bring clothes with me to shop the swap, shop, or consignment sections?
NOPE, while it is encouraged, all are invited to participate regardless of contribution! The swap section is mutual-aid, so you can take as many clothes as you need. We encourage people to take clothes for family & friends as well!
Is there a limit to how many clothes I can take from the swap section?
No! All we ask is that if you are able to make a donation for anything you take, you do so:)
Where will any extra clothing go at the end of the event?
Clothes that are leftover from the event will be donated to a local community organization or sorted by The Clothing Cycle to upcycle and use at their future popups.
Want to volunteer at the event?
We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate and provide day-of support between 8:00am-2pm, including clothing rack set-up and clean-up, clothes sorting, supporting the consignment register, etc.
Email events@nudefoodsmarket.com if you're interested in volunteering:)
