Classroom Management: CHAMPS, STOIC, Brain & Behavior (08097)
Overview
Presenters: Dr. Dave Kibelkis and Millie Shepich
Effective classroom management is the foundation for both academic growth and positive student behavior. In this session, staff will explore research-based strategies from CHAMPS and STOIC, while also considering how brain science influences student behavior and learning.
Participants will refine their classroom management plans by applying the SERVE Model—a framework that emphasizes building strong relationships, maintaining consistent expectations, and fostering student engagement. Together, these approaches provide a practical roadmap for creating a structured, supportive, and positive learning environment where all students can thrive.
