Classical Guitar Music at Symphony Coffeehouse
Overview
Oregonian classical guitar virtuoso, Tye Austin, M.M. performs live at Symphony Coffeehouse every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 10am-1pm starting October 1, 2025-March 31, 2026. Inspired by J.S. Bach's weekly performances at his local cafe in Germany, Tye established this exclusive music residency in an effort to bring the high performing arts into everyday spaces in his local community. Guests are encouraged to actively listen to the music while conversing quietly with each other.
Tye will perform 3 sets (50 minutes each) per day, featuring traditional classical guitar repertoire, North & South American jazz standards, holiday hits, and original compositions. He will also sing a variety of popular songs in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese on occasion. His music can be described as a cross between the Spanish guitar legend, Andres Segovia, and the boss of Bossa nova, Antonio Carlos Jobim. Come to Symphony Coffeehouse to witness a world-class virtuoso perform relaxing classical guitar music, and learn why Beethoven once famously said, "the guitar is like a miniature symphonic orchestra in itself." We proudly serve Thornton Coffee, and feature an eclectic food menu of gourmet meals and snacks. Bring your family and friends on the weekends to enjoy these FREE events.
