We invite you to try a new dance technique! Proficient dancers trained in a different technique are welcome to take class. Free to attend, professional open level.


1:00 - 2:00 pm: Juyayay with Jatary Sunchy Danza y Proyección Escénica

Come experience the joy of Ecuadorian dance! Juyayay translated into Spanish means alive, in essence, at the right moment, also an expression of joy that we undoubtedly maintain when dancing and enjoying each day.

About Jatary Sunchy Danza y Proyección Escénica: On November 14, 2013, the "Jatary Sunchy" Dance and Stage Projection Group was founded by Edison and Jimmy Buestan. This name honors each of the people who fell more than 500 years ago and also refers to a daily routine (rising strong).

El 14 de noviembre del 2013 se crea la Agrupación de Danza y Proyección Escénica "Jatary Sunchy" mediante Edisson y Jimmy Buestan. este nombre en honor a cada pueblo caído hace ya más de 500 años también haciendo referencia a un diario vivir (levantarse fuerte).

Kuchipudi - Indian Classical dance. Learn the beautiful rhythm, detail, and storytelling through traditional Kuchipudi Classical Indian dance movement!


About Aishwarya Madhav: Aishwarya Madhav is an Indian classical dancer and an Arts educator. She has performed across India and the US at prestigious venues like the Lincoln Center, Yale University, 92Y and festivals like Drive East and Battery Dance. She has also served as a teaching artist and an Arts Program Manager.

The Queensboro Dance Festival launched in 2014 and is an annual summer season of public events and performances presenting only Queens-based cultural and contemporary dance companies.
