About this event

As a performer, is there anything that beats that feeling of a really juicy part, one you can completely sink your teeth into, one that springs to life fully-formed in your mind, even as you eyes first skim the lines on the page? We all try out for shows we love because we want to get that kind of a role. But how we get from A to B? How do we use that short span or five minutes or less to help the director see in us all that we see in ourselves?Like performing itself, auditioning is an art form. In this class, you will learn that art, including:

    • How to structure your audition and take control to show off all your best strengths
    • How to think on your feet and make a connection with the creative team
    • You're always auditioning! How to use the moments when you're not on stage performing to bolster your chances of getting the part you want.
    • How to find the joy in the audition process even when things don't go further
