Think 8 Mile meets every genre — punk, metal, hip hop, hardcore, indie, and more. Welcome to Clash in the Corn, Punk in the Corn LLC’s official battle of the bands where the crowd decides the winner. No judges. No politics. Just volume, energy, and chaos.

🎤 HOW IT WORKS:

  • Two high-energy shows, two weeks apart
  • First show: 8/9 4PM - 11PM
  • Second show: 8/23 4PM-11PM
  • A decibel meter will measure crowd volume
  • The louder your fans, the better your shot at winning

How much does it cost to attend?

General Admission is $10 per person. All ages welcome.

Q: How much does it cost for bands to enter?

It’s completely free for bands to compete.

How do bands sign up?

Bands can apply at www.punkinthecorn.com/clash-in-the-corn. You’ll need your band name, location, a live performance video, and an estimate of how many fans you’re bringing.

How are winners chosen?

We’re using a decibel meter to measure crowd volume. The louder the crowd, the better your chances of winning

What do the winning bands receive?

A performance slot at Punk in the Corn Festival- A custom professional Electronic Press Kit (EPK)-10 free tickets to the festival to give out to family or fans.

What kind of music is allowed?

All genres are welcome — punk, metal, hardcore, hip hop, alt, indie, and beyond. This is about hype, not labels.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes! This is an all-ages event.

Will there be food and drinks?

? Beer is provided by Front Street Brewery ?️ There will be local vendors, raffles, artwork, and a food truck from 313 Bar and Lounge!

Can my band still get involved if we don’t have a huge following?

Absolutely. Crowd support helps, but we’re also looking for bands that bring passion and performance. Just apply, we want to hear from you!

When and where is the event?

Friday, August 9 at Front Street Brewery Taproom (Davenport, IA)-Doors open at 4 PM- Battle begins at 5 PM sharp
