City of Toronto Music Office Presents: Music Interns Networking Event

Looking for an internship in the music industry? This event is for you.

On Monday February 9th, held at It's Ok* Studios on Queen Street West, this in-person event aims to connect music organizations, event producers, festivals, and bands looking for interns, with students looking for opportunities in the music industry.

How it works:

Prior to the event, you’ll receive a list of potential employers who will be attending, along with descriptions of the roles they have available for interns. We'll ask you to send us your resume and identify which positions you're interested in. We'll do our best to match you with several employers based on your interest and skill set.

On the night of the event, each of the music organizations or bands will have their own table and you will be able to sit down with several potential employers. There will be students there from different schools including Toronto Metropolitan University, Centennial, and Humber amongst others. This is also a great opportunity to meet your peers who will be some of your most important industry connections as you rise through the ranks. If you match with any employers, you’ll have a ten minute 1x1 during the first half of the event. While we can’t guarantee you’ll get an interview, there will be plenty of opportunities to network and chat with all the organizations throughout the night.

Light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available. Please print out copies of your resume to bring on the night of.
