About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Discover how local businesses and organizations are creating a circular economy in Austin! Circular business models reduce the need to extract new resources from our planet. These business models keep materials and products in use for as long as possible.

Five small businesses will pitch to judges for a chance to win $10,000 in prize money. Plus, three entrepreneurs emerging from the Circular Accelerator will compete for $2,000.

We hope this event inspires and educates the investment community about the benefits of circularity. Attendees can expect to meet business owners and learn how to get involved in Austin's circular economy.

A special thank you to this year's judges: Jeff Blickman, Bart Bohn, Sandy Eapen, and Nancy Lyon.

This year's competitors include:

  • Cocarbon
  • CRAFT
  • Heartening
  • Save the Good Stuff
  • Wanderlust Wine Co.

Plus, three additional businesses that will qualify via the Circular Accelerator program on August 13th.

The City of Austin is proud to support local businesses that help grow Austin's circular economy. Learn more about the City's Circular Economy Program.
