Detroit Audubon is partnering with Arboretum Detroit and Detroit Future City to offer birding workshops and events at Circle Forest in 2022 and 2023.

Join us for our second workshop: Introduction to Birding- Part Two led by Detroit Audubon Research Coordinator, Ava Landgraf. We will review some of the topics from Part One and then learn 20 of some of the most common birds around Detroit.

The lesson will take place at the camp fire site at Circle Forest (3301 Palmer St). Most of the seating will be logs and rocks but we will have more traditional chairs as well. We will provide flyers with information to take home, but you may also like to bring materials to take your own notes.

The workshop will be about an hour, with additional time at the end to look for birds and practice identification. After some birding practice, folks are welcome to stick around for any bird related questions and further discussion.

Please keep in mind bathroom facilities are not available.

We will be outside but still encourage wearing a mask. If you have any Covid-19 symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with Covid-19, please stay home.
