Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness Winter Hiking Series

Get ready to explore the great outdoors with our Winter Hiking Series, part of our Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness program! Join us in person as we hit the trails to stay active and soak up some fresh air this winter. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a fun way to boost your wellness, these hikes are perfect for all levels. Lace up your boots and come enjoy nature, good company, and some healthy adventure!


From November through February, we’re exploring a new Cincinnati Park each week—discovering winter overlooks, deep forest trails, hillside views, and hidden gems across our 65 miles of trails. Each hike is guided, free, and designed for all experience levels.

Every weekend, we'll explore the trails and winter's wonderland—whether it’s mindfulness, movement, nature connection, or simply the joy of getting outside together. The weather won’t stop us from exploring, so layer up and embrace the season with us!


About Dr. Barbara Walker & Kelly Lyle (UC Osher Center for Integrative Health & Wellness):

Dr. Barbara Walker and Kelly Lyle are part of the team at the UC Osher Center for Integrative Health & Wellness, where they focus on helping individuals build resilience, reduce stress, and strengthen overall well-being through evidence-based mind–body practices. Dr. Walker, a clinical psychologist and researcher, specializes in mindfulness, performance psychology, and holistic approaches to health. Kelly Lyle, a wellness educator and program facilitator, brings warmth and accessibility to every experience—making integrative practices approachable for all ages and ability levels.

Together, they lead nature-based wellness programs that blend mindful movement, intentional breathing, and time in nature to help participants feel grounded, present, and connected. Their hikes offer an opportunity to learn practical tools for whole-person well-being while exploring the healing power of Cincinnati’s parks.
