Christian contemplation and Buddhist meditation practices use similar techniques as a way of returning to before thinking, to not-knowing.
This retreat brings together Christian as well as Korean and Japanese Zen traditions. It emphasizes sitting and walking meditation, and includes interfaith talks, chanting, and Kong-an (Japanese: Koan) interviews.
PZC Co-guiding teacher Zen Master Tan Gong (José Ramírez) is joined by Sister Madeleine Tacy, OP, Seikai Sensei from the White Plum lineage, a Sōtō tradition that incorporates elements of Rinzai Zen for this interfaith retreat.
