We are pleased to welcome Chris Rypkema, Art director, motion designer and founder of Birth of the World who will share insights from his career and perspectives on his creative practice.
Chris Rypkema is a designer working across visual identity, communication design, and motion. In addition to his independent work, he has collaborated with artists, designers, filmmakers, museums, and cultural organizations on exhibitions, books, films, websites, and identity systems. He teaches at Parsons and Rutgers and has served as a visiting critic at RISD and MIT. Previously, he was an art director at MoMA and a designer at 2×4. In 2025, he started Birth of the World, a studio focused on time-based projects.
