Hikeological Escape is Chris “Windscreen” Homan’s soul-baring, trail-tested journey across the Camino Santiago and Pacific Crest Trail. With wit and wisdom, he hikes through heartbreak, hunger, and spiritual awakening to rediscover purpose. This is not just a travel memoir—this is a return to self through silence, stars, and sweat.
Chris Homan is a lifelong traveler, writer, and proud uncle. He’s been everything from an Air Force electrician to a catamaran builder, and in 2018 earned his “not-that-kind-of-doctor” doctorate in Management. Now based in the Pacific Northwest, he splits his time between books, sci-fi movies, hiking trails, snowboarding in the Cascades, and endless home projects. He’s the author of A Door Into Another Land, Power Over Everything, and No Strings Attached, as well as an academic article on humor in leadership published in The Journal of Organizational Psychology. His global family includes travelers, readers, hikers, and lovers of humor everywhere.
