CHP / Workout / Merced (MHS Track)

Applicants,

You are invited to attend a California Highway Patrol (CHP) / Central Division Applicant Preparation Program (APP) Workshop. This academy-style workout and Physical Abilities Test (PAT) preparation workshop is designed to help you prepare for the physical demands of the CHP applicant process.

Workout Details

Days & Time: Mondays at 1800 hours

Location: Merced High School Track, 205 E. Olive Avenue, Merced, CA 95348 (near the southeast corner of E. Olive Avenue and “G” Street)

Bring:

o Printed and signed Physical Training Waiver (link below)

o Water, and FLASHLIGHT

o Appropriate workout attire: Black T-shirt preferred but white is permissible (tucked in), dark workout bottoms (shorts, sweats, or workout leggings), and athletic shoes. See below for instructions on the layout of the preferred black T-shirt.

o Weather-appropriate gear (hat, sunblock, hoodie, gloves, etc.)

Important Information:

1. Physical Training Waiver: You must have a printed and signed physical training waiver to participate in the workshop. Please print, read, and sign the waiver before arriving on-site.

2. PAT Videos: We highly recommend viewing the PAT videos to familiarize yourself with the test requirements.

3. Preparation: Be aware that the workshop involves physical training, and you may get dirty. We recommend bringing a small towel for comfort. You will be held accountable for your actions, so please ensure you are well-prepared.

4. Unregister If You Cannot Attend: If you are unable to attend, please unregister yourself as your RSVP confirms your attendance.
