The CHOPIN Salons take place at the historic Miami Beach Woman's Club. These elegant events are complimentary for Chopin Foundation members, but everyone is welcome!

This CHOPIN Salon features pianist Peter Dugan, host of NPR’s From the Top, together with mezzo-soprano Kara Dugan, praised by The New York Times for her “vocal warmth and rich character.” Their performance promises an unforgettable afternoon, with an expressive program by this husband-and-wife duo that offers something for everyone, including works by Chopin.

Join us for a memorable Sunday afternoon with fellow classical music enthusiasts. After the concert, enjoy a wine reception, followed by an optional catered dinner and a chance to mingle with the artists.

About Peter Dugan

Pianist and composer Peter Dugan is heard nationwide as host of NPR’s From the Top. A versatile performer, he has appeared as soloist with the San Francisco Symphony, collaborated with violinists Joshua Bell and Charles Yang, and performed in recital with vocalists including John Brancy and Kara Dugan. A graduate of The Juilliard School, he is also an active arranger and composer, with performances from Carnegie Hall to Joe’s Pub and arrangements released by Disney+.

About Kara Dugan

Mezzo-soprano Kara Dugan has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, and San Francisco Symphony. Festival appearances include Marlboro, Ravinia Steans, Aspen, and Wolf Trap Opera. She has toured internationally with Juilliard415 under conductors Ton Koopman, Masaaki Suzuki, and Nicholas McGegan, and has sung roles including Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro. A graduate of The Juilliard School, she is a recipient of the Novick Career Advancement Grant.
