Chocolate 101

Zak's Chocolate is a local,award-winning, small-batch craft chocolate maker (we make 100% of our own chocolate from cocoa beans) and an artisan chocolatier. We love chocolate and the story & amazing flavors of fine cacao varieties. We have been making chocolate as a hobby for years and are excited to share our passion with you.At Zak's we roast cocoa beans ethically sourced from different regions and make our own single origin and house blend chocolate to use in bars, truffles and other yummy confections.  Everything is done by hand, from sorting cocoa beans to wrapping our bars.Like coffee and wine, each cocoa bean comes from a uniqueterroirthat impacts its flavor. At our factory in Scottsdale you can see (and learn) how chocolate is made from the bean.We hope to see you soon for a unique chocolate experience!

CHOCOLATE 101 - Learn how cocoa beans are transformed into chocolate and discover the world of natural flavors that can be found in craft chocolate. Think wine & coffee & growing regions & terrior. Now think chocolate!
Includes overview discussion about cocoa beans and chocolate-making, a video tour of cacao farming, harvesting and post-harvest, a taste comparison of single-origin chocolates and a virtual (video) tour of Zak's small batch chocolate factory.  Bring your imagination!
Total time: approx 60 minutes
Capacity: 10 guests, no age restrictions (parental discretion is appreciated).

Is there an age limit to enter the event?
No. This event is an overview of chocolate and chocolate making and has no age restriction. Parental discretion is appreciated.
Is your facility handicap accessible?
Yes, our facility is handicap accessible. If you have specific questions about accessibility, we encourage you to call, email or stop in to see our space before booking your event.
What's the refund policy?
Please plan carefully and only reserve a space if you are sure you can attend. We do not manage a wait list and cannot offer refunds if you are unable to attend. Thank you.
