Chinese Music Workshop

Step into an afternoon of sound, story, and cultural discovery at our Traditional & Contemporary Chinese Music Workshop! On Dec. 6, 2025 (3–5 PM), the Alternative Performance Space at Longy School of Music in Cambridge transforms into a hands-on listening and learning studio where centuries-old Chinese musical traditions meet fresh, modern voices.

Co-produced by Zishi Liu from Longy School of Music and Jindong Cai from the US-China Music Institute, this free and open-to-everyone workshop invites you to experience Chinese music up close—through guided exploration, live demonstration, and conversation. Curious listeners, musicians, and culture lovers all welcome.
