Chinese Dumplings (Hands-On Class, Kid Friendly)
Learn to make flavorful Chinese Dumplings in this hands-on and interactive cooking class. Chef Chris Atwood will teach you how simple it is to create delicious dumplings at home. Guided by your chef-instructor, you’ll learn to shape, fill, and cook 3 kinds of savory Chinese dumplings, including:
- Shrimp, Bamboo & Chive Dumplings (boiled)
- Pork, Green Onion & Napa Cabbage Dumplings (pan-fried)
- Chicken & Shiitake Wontons (steamed)
- Traditional Dipping Sauce (Soy Sauce, Green Onion, Black Vinegar, Sesame)
- Homemade Chili Oil (Chinese chilis, Sichuan peppercorn, star anise, shallots)
In addition to preparing the dumplings, you’ll also try three different cooking techniques: pan-frying (crispy), boiling (soft / juicy), and steaming (soft/chewy). Chef Chris will demonstrate multiple shapes for hand-made dumplings.
