Join Charlotte Chinese Story Time for our 2026 Children’s Lunar New Year Showcase—an afternoon filled with vibrant performances by young artists across the Charlotte area.

Supported by ASC Culture Blocks, this event is completely free and open to all families.

What You’ll Experience

A spectacular lineup featuring a wide range of Asian cultural performances, including:

• Chinese folk & classical dances
• Youth instrumental ensemble
• K-pop & Chinese drum fusion
• Vocal & instrumental performances
• Children’s poetry recitation
• Chinese comic dialogue (Xiangsheng)
• Traditional Cambodian Robum dance

…plus many more joyful performances celebrating the Year of the Horse—a symbol of energy, vitality, and progress.

Children age 7 and under will not be assigned individual seats and must sit on a parent or guardian’s lap for the duration of the show.
