About this event

CHILDREN'S AREITO- Empowering with Taíno Knowledge & Ancestral Connection

Join us on Thu Jun 14 and 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM for a special event that will immerse children and the community in the rich culture and traditions of the Taíno people. Located at 345 Brook Ave, this in-person gathering will provide kids with a unique opportunity to learn about their ancestral roots and connect with their heritage.

Through interactive workshops, storytelling, and hands-on activities, children will gain a deeper understanding of Taíno history, language, and customs. They will also have the chance to engage in traditional dances and music, known as AREITO, that have been passed down through generations.

Don't miss this chance to empower your child and yourself with knowledge and a strong sense of ancestral connection. Reserve your spot today.

Admission is free, but donations of any amount are welcomed and appreciated. If you have the means to support, support. Together as a community we have it all.

This is a moment you do not want to miss and open for You to join us in. We ask if you wish that you bring a flower just one flower to place at the altar during Grand Entry.

We look forward to seeing you for two fun-filled days for the entire family at the Caribbean Children's Areito with the people who were the first to be called Indios (Indians)...and today are known as the Arawak Taino Peoples of the Greater Antilles, including Cuba, Hispaniola (Haiti and Dominican Republic), Jamaica, and Puerto Rico; and the Lesser Antilles, comprising all the rest of the islands.
