Chihuahua Races at Tejas Fest- Dog Registration🎉

Get ready to see some speedy Chihuahuas in action at the Tejas Fest! If you think your tiny pup has what it takes to compete, sign them up for the Chihuahua Races happening at DeLeon City Plaza! It's going to be a paw-some event filled with fun and excitement! 🐾

Who Can Enter: Only Chihuahuas are eligible! (by breed registration or appearance; vet verification may apply). Dogs must weigh no more than 8 pounds.

Vaccination Rule: All participating dogs must have up-to-date rabies vaccinations—no exceptions!

What to Bring: Please bring your Chihuahua and their favorite toy (no food allowed on the race track).

Team Requirement: Each racing Chihuahua must have two people—one person to hold the dog at the starting line and another to await them at the finish line. For safety reasons, no more than two handlers per dog are permitted.

Registration Fee:

-$10 for pre-registration

-$15 for day-of registration (cash only)

Day-of Registration Details:

-Opens at 10:00 AM on race day

-Closes 30 minutes before race time so we can coordinate heats and contestants

-Races begin promptly at 11:00 AM
