Ready to push your wheel skills further? Our Sake Set Wheel Throwing Class is a technique-focused class designed for potters who already have some wheel experience and want to refine control, height, and consistency.
This class is ideal for anyone looking to:
- Learn how to throw a tall, narrow cylinder to create a traditional sake bottle
- Practice throwing off the hump while creating consistent sake cups
- Improve pulling technique, form control, and overall precision on the wheel
Each student will create:
- 1 sake bottle
- 3 sake cups
What’s included:
- Basic glazing INCLUDED
- All pieces will be finished with one basic glaze color of your choice
- Firing is included for all completed pieces
⚠️ This is not recommended for first-time wheel throwers.
Students should be comfortable centering clay and pulling basic cylinder forms.
To ensure a high-quality experience, this class is limited to 6 wheels only, allowing for hands-on guidance, personalized feedback, and a focused studio environment.
