Event description

Description

Cheltenham is about to get its very own lottery which will be going live in the Autumn. The first tickets will go on sale on 8 October with the first draw taking place on 9 November. Tickets will cost £1 and each ticket will have a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize, with a top prize of £25,000.

Local lotteries are brilliant ways of raising funds for good causes – 60% of all the ticket sales of the Cheltenham Lottery will be allocated to local good causes with 50% being allocated to groups that sign-up to take part in the lottery and 10% allocated to the No Child Left Behind year of action on child poverty.

We want to give local groups as much opportunity to get involved and would like to invite you to attend a good causes launch event on Wednesday 11 September at 6.00pm in the Council Chamber at the Municipal Offices.

We will set out how the lottery will work and how you can sign-up and get involved.

By signing up you will have your own web page on our special lottery website that will help you promote your activities and generate ticket sales. Players who buy tickets through your specific web page will know that 50% of proceeds are going directly to you. This in turn will hopefully motivate your group to promote the lottery and encourage more players to choose you as their chosen good cause.

There is more information about the lottery here:
