We invite you to support Chef’s Taste of the Valley, a family-friendly, community-centered event happening on Sunday, September 14 from 1pm to 4pm. This celebration highlights the rich agricultural heritage and vibrant local food system of the Red River Valley — and we need your help to make it possible.
We will be providing a dynamic selection of culinary samples made to showcase the products of all the farmers, foragers, bee keepers, gardeners and growers.
Experience the bounty of the valley through a culinary tour, educational classes for beginning farmers, connecting with local experts. Enjoy family activities, music, a ride on the barrel train and connecting with nature. Shop the farm's mini market . Explore a selection from the region’s steadfast commitment to supporting a sustainable food movement and deeper connection with the Farmers.
Why it matters:Chef’s Taste of the Valley is more than a food festival. It’s a space where farmers, food producers, chefs, and community members come together to:
- Celebrate the unique flavors of the region
- Educate attendees about growing, cooking, and sourcing local food
- Connect people with the farmers and youth leaders growing our food
- Share knowledge through workshops, nature walks, tasting demos and more
- Inspire the next generation of growers and eaters
This event strengthens the local economy, uplifts diverse voices in agriculture, and builds food security through community connection.
