Check Your Bucket - Live Recording

Please join us at the Thunderbird Cafe & Music Hall for a night of soulful, feel-good music.

Doors open at 7:30pm, and Greg Anderson from Vinyl Remains  will be spinning curated classics and rarities before we hit the stage at 8:30pm.

More than just a live show, we’re hosting this exclusive, invite-only event so that we can pack the room with our friends, loved ones, colleagues, and VIP guests while we professionally capture the audio and video of our dynamic performance.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of something unforgettable. Your energy, vibe, and enthusiasm are what will bring this night to life. We hope to see you there.

RSVP soon!

*NOTE: Please only claim a ticket if you are sure that you can attend. If there are still unclaimed tickets on June 16th, we’ll open up the event to the general public. If, for some reason, you claimed a ticket but can no longer attend, please reach out to us ASAP so that we can offer the spot to someone else. We want to ensure that we have a fun and packed room for the video capture.

Check Your Bucket plays soulful, feel-good music.

Inspired by the soul music of New Orleans, Memphis, and Chicago, Check Your Bucket delivers mindfully-arranged, proper renditions of rare, classic, and influential recordings from the mid 1950s through the early 1970s. The band is focused, funky, and dynamic, and the chemistry and connection between the players is strong and infectious.

Led by drummer Brian Wolfe (Jalen Ngonda, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Lee Fields), Check Your Bucket features an amazing line-up of some of Pittsburgh’s most accomplished and in-demand musicians, including the captivating vocalist and frontman James Vincent Wiley (formerly of the Boogie Hustlers).

James Vincent Wylie - vocals

JD Chaisson - trumpet

Joe Scheller - saxophone

Anthony Ambroso - guitar

Jacob Pleakis - piano and organ

Anton DeFade - bass

Brian Wolfe - drums
