About this event

Ticket Tip: We suggest you purchase tickets through the "Buy on Map" feature. Make sure you're buying tickets for the correct weekend!

Taking place in the North Garden Theater of the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center, the Chautauqua Revue is a variety show inspired by vaudeville, circus, traditional Chautauquas, and story-telling. From poignant monologues to full-throated sing-a-longs, the Revue is a feast for ear, eye, heart, and spirit. Come join us under the stars for another original and surprising edition of the Chautauqua Revue. Evening shows are about 2 1/2 hours long with a single intermission. There will be refreshments and snacks for sale.

While children are welcome at the evening shows, you might also consider coming to our Family Matinee on Saturday the 6th at 2 pm. This is a one-set show featuring acts from the evening show that will appeal to young and old alike.

If you find that this event is sold out, please check back one week in advance of the show for any late-release tickets that become available.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is there on-site parking?

Yes! Event parking is in our Upper Lot, the 2nd OAEC entrance on your right when driving up from the town of Occidental. The Upper Lot is a 5-10 minute walk to the theater. Drop-off at the main entrance is available for folks with accessibility needs.

    Is the event wheel-chair accessible?

Is the site open outside of event times?

The North Garden will be open 1 hour before the start of the show. The rest of the site will not be open to the public.

    What should I bring?

All tickets are will-call; just give your name (or the ticket-purchaser's) at the check-in table. Bring sun protection for sunlight hours and a flashlight and warm clothing for the evening (blankets are also fine). Bring cash or cards if you would like to purchase concessions or artist merchandise.

    What's a groundling seat?

Groundling seating is a cushy zone on the ground between the front row of bench seating and the front of the stage. Cushions and blankets are provided. There is no back support in this section. If you require back support, please choose an assigned seat on the map!
