By the time he was sixteen, his father's career in the Marine Corps took him from his birthplace of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, to North Carolina, California, and Virginia. During this time, Brian developed a love for travel, writing, sports, music, and aviation. He has been an educator and coach at both the high school and college levels as well as working in sales and marketing.
