Chat with a Spartan Alumni: Aviation Maintenance

Curious what life could look like after graduating? Join us for a virtual Chat with a Spartan Alumni, where current and prospective students can hear directly from graduates working in the aviation industry today.

These conversational sessions give attendees the chance to hear from others about their training experience, what the transition from school to the workforce could look like, and hear from the perspective of those currently working in the field as Aviation Maintenance Technicians. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and gain insight into different potential paths within aviation maintenance.

About Our Guest Speaker

Nathan Russell is a Spartan College alumnus who graduated in December 2023 from the Aviation Maintenance Technology program in Tulsa, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology.

With a background rooted in hands-on mechanical work across multiple generations of his family, Nathan originally set out to become a mechanic before discovering aviation maintenance. He began his training at Spokane Community College, but after the challenges of the pandemic and a move to Oklahoma, he continued his education at Spartan College, where he was able to complete his pathway into aviation.

Nathan currently works as an AMT Tech I at Gulfstream in Savannah, Georgia, supporting aircraft in one of the company’s largest product support hangars. During this event, he’ll share his experience in training, transitioning into the industry, and what day-to-day work looks like as an Aviation Maintenance Technician.
