Event description

Description

The events that took place in Charlottesville last month and the ensuring reaction days were profoundly disturbing to all Americans committed to fighting hatred and bigotry. The images and stories of neo-Nazis marching on the grounds of the University of Virginia and on the streets of Charlottesville were seared into our collective consciousness.

ADL’s Center on Extremism was at the forefront of the Unite the Right story from the beginning, equipping members of Virginia’s law enforcement community with background and intelligence, producing public resources on the extremist groups and individuals involved, and providing its expertise and analysis to media throughout the weekend. All of this work continues today, in the event's aftermath.

Come hear ADL’s CEO Jonathan Greenblatt lead a conversation about how this event affects the state of white supremacy, racism, anti-Semitism, domestic extremism, and free speech in the United States.
