The first annual Charlie Sampson Rodeo, held on June 28, 2025, in Norco, California, celebrated the legacy of the legendary rodeo champion. Drawing fans and competitors from across the country, the event featured thrilling rodeo events such as bull riding, barrel racing, and team roping. It highlighted top talent and emerging stars in the sport while embracing Norco's rich equestrian culture. Attendees enjoyed live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities, making it a vibrant community gathering. The rodeo honored Charlie Sampson, the first African American world champion bull rider, with a special tribute recognizing his groundbreaking achievements.
